Hi lovlies,
Happy Wednesday! I am soooooooo excited about this post today. Your mind will be blown. I am not even going to say much more and let Kerry blow you away!
Hi everyone!
I am so excited to be guest posting for Michelle today! Back when I started getting into nails and blogs, Ordinary Misfit was the first fellow South African I found who was blogging about nail art. I was so excited and since then, Michelle’s nails and blog have just gotten better and better. I think we can all agree she does some amazing nail art and she is an incredible stamper! So when she asked me to guest post, of course I was over the moon. Here’s what I came up with:
When I do a guest post, I always feel like I have to come up with something extra special. I tried to think of all the things Michelle likes most, and I came up with PINK and STAMPING. Well, I decided that I would NOT embarrass myself by trying to compete with her stamping, but I certainly could incorporate pink.
I decided I’d finally try a radial gradient for the background. I used Tip Top Melting Marshmallows in the centre of each nail, surrounded by Tip Top Sherbet Angel and then Pot-O-Berries. Doing a radial gradient is hard! I really struggled getting it to look even but luckily a gradient always looks 10 times better when you partially cover it up with something. I went with some abstract roses using Revolution Sapphire and a dotting tool.
This isn’t the first time I’ve done these abstract-looking roses. In the past I’ve tried them over a plain base (in one of my first ever blog posts!), over a gradient, and over a striped background. It’s a very versatile look and it’s always a winner. I do think this is my best attempt at the look – last time I tried it was over a year ago – and this version looks more refined. I loved it and I’m sure it’s something I’ll try again, too!
Once again, thanks for having me, Michelle, and I hope all of you enjoyed seeing my nails!

You guys! How absolutely amazingly gorgeous is this? I have always been blown away by Kerry’s freehand skills and her roses are probably one of my favourite things she does EVER! This though, is a whole other level of awesome! I am absolutely blown away by how gorgeous this is.
What do you think? Is your mind as blown as mine? Thank you SO much Kerry. I can’t describe how much I love this and your compliments are so appreciated. You are the sweetest. And ridiculously talented. I want to be just like you when I grow up!
Don’t forget to give Kerry some love. You can find her here:

I love the way this turned out! It’s definitely one of my favorite methods of doing non-traditional roses.
