31DC2015 Day 22: Inspired by a song

Hi lovelies,

Hope this Tuesday treats you well.  It has to better than a Monday right? 😉

You can follow everyone taking part by using the #31DC2015.  I am going to be keeping my posts short and sweet throughout the challenge so that it means more time to get cracking with the prompts 😉   Here are the prompts for this year.

Inspired by a song.  Hmmm.  I love music and listen to music for a large part of my day.  There are so many songs I could’ve chosen but I chose this one for 2 reasons.  One, it’s a really catchy tune and a firm favourite at the moment and two, I thought it would be easier to translate to nail art than some of my other choices 😛  The song I chose?

Isn’t it a cool song?  Let me show you what I did.

On my pinky and index I went with the title of the song.  I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Recycle and stamped using BMH18 and Mundo de Unas – Reddish.  On my middle nail I started with 2 coats of Tip Top – Sitting pretty and once it was dry I used a thin brush and Sinful Colors – Snow me white to write G.R.L on it.  On my index I started with 2 coats of Nubar – Noir and then stamped using BM414 and MoYou stamping polish in white.  I did this because of “your smile can light up New York city after dark”.  I then topcoated everything and that was that.

What do you think of the song?  It’s not the best interpretation but does it at least go with the song?
