31DC2015 Day 23: Inspired by a movie

Hi lovelies,

Hump day on a short week.  How awesome is that?  It’s a public holiday here tomorrow so basically it is like a friday today.

You can follow everyone taking part by using the #31DC2015.  I am going to be keeping my posts short and sweet throughout the challenge so that it means more time to get cracking with the prompts 😉   Here are the prompts for this year.

So todays prompt is movie.  There are so many great movies to choose from but then Briget suggested this one and I loved it.  For numerous reasons.  Firstly, One of my favourite lines to say is the last bit of the thunder song.  But even more, my cousin Jamcj has really been a champion through this challenge.  She has given me so many ideas and suggestions and let’s be honest, she is my thunder buddy for life.  So, this is a bit of a cheer to her.  Let me show you what I did.

On my index I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and then used a thin brush and Essence – The green and the grunge to write ‘ted’.  On my ring finger I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and then used the lighting vinyls I got from Juanita ages ago and Essence – The green and the grunge.  Yay for thunder buddies!  On my pinky and middle I made the plaid that is from the couch that Ted loves to be on.  I started with 2 coats of Essence – The green and the grunge and then with a thin nail art brush and Essence – Deep sea, baby and Essence – Upper green side I made the lines for the plaid. I then topcoated everything and once it was dry I went back to my middle nail to make Ted.  I used BMH21 and MoYou stamping polish in white to stamp the teddy and filled him in with LA Girl – Sand blast to create a textured / fluffy look.  I used China Glaze – Foie gras for the noise and ears and also to make the outline.  I of course had to add some heavy ‘eyebrows’ to really make this teddy into Ted.  And that was that.
