Hi lovelies,
It’s Heritage Day here in South Africa, which means public holiday. I hope you are all having a lovely day with loved ones. For those not off today, I hope it’s a lovely day anyway.
You can follow everyone taking part by using the #31DC2015. I am going to be keeping my posts short and sweet throughout the challenge so that it means more time to get cracking with the prompts 😉 Here are the prompts for this year.
I’ll be honest, the only reason why I chose this book is because I liked the cover and colours used and thought it would look nice on my nails :/ Let me show you what I did.
The book I chose is ‘This Charming Man” by Marian Keyes. I started with 2 coats of Catrice – London’s weather forecast on all my nails. Once this was completely dry I stamped the stars using Pueen44 and Tip Top – Armour plate for the silver. For the coloured stars I used Mundo de Unas – Lime, Sky blue, Barbie and Sunflower. I then made the border on each nail using a thin brush and China Glaze – Bottoms up. I topcoated and that was that.
You can see my #31DC2014 version of Day 24 here.
What do you think? Does it resemble the cover of the book? Which book would you have chosen for this prompt and why? Would you have chosen something because of the cover and easy to do or would you have chosen your favourite book and made it work?
Thanks for reading,
Ars Ungealis
If you’ll excuse the pun… What a Charming Man-icure! 😉
Love it!
