Hi lovelies,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I could definitely use another day or two of weekend but anyway, here we go with a new week and a new month. Let’s do this!
If you follow me on Instagram you might’ve seen me flaunting my Dragon Egg kit that I got from Because I Shop. I just had to show you the final result because I am in LOVE with it. Firstly, let me tell you about the kit. The kit comes with everything you will need to make your egg except for the polish. That means the kit comes with the polystyrene egg mould, the thumbtacks you will need, the form to set your thumbtacks on to paint them and the glue to finish it off. As well as step by step instructions. All you will need is your favourite polish. How awesome is that? Making your Dragon Egg can not be easier than that. It’s also a lot of fun. It is time consuming but weirdly relaxing as well. Setting out the thumbtacks and painting them take some time and of course waiting for it all to dry takes a while. All in all, it’s such a fun, relaxing and soothing activity. Ending up with a gorgeous dragon egg is a huge bonus. Ok ok, let me show you my egg and then my nails to match.
Seriously, is that not the most beautiful combination ever? I obviously used exactly the same polishes on my nails. I will show you my nails a bit closer in a bit but let me tell you what I used first. I started out with 2 coats of Wow #393 on my nails and 1 coat on all the thumbtacks. Once that was dry I added one coat Fresh Paint – Sugar crush. This was a polish from my amazing box of goodies from the U.S and one I have been treasuring for the longest time. I knew at this point that it was absolutely enough to make this egg magical but I just couldn’t stop there. You might notice that Sugar crush has the yellow / red / orange shift if you look at it straight on but at an angle it has the green / blue shift. I wanted to highlight that shift with some flakies. So I grabbed Catrice – Glitterazzi and added a few flakes to each thumbtack and each nails. I then topcoated everything. I left the thumbtacks to dry overnight before I started placing them.
What do you think? Isn’t the polish just to die for? Ok, let me show you more nails.
I’d love to hear what you think. Also let me know if you have any suggestions for my next egg. You know I can’t just stop at one right? Have you made a Dragon Egg? Have you tried this kit? I can definitely recommend the kit. Easy peasy to have everything together. Check out Because I Shop for the kits as well as awesome vinyls and stickers.

Oh, Michelle, I remember you wanted the Essence Road Trip Thermal Nail Polish in Sweet Escape. Do you still want it?

Ah thank you so much. I actually picked up quite a few thermals so I am not so eager to grab it anymore.
