Hi lovelies,
Goodness what a long week! By Wednesday I was already convinced it was Friday 😉 Nonetheless, I accomplished a lot and now I can enjoy the weekend thoroughly. Not only is it valentines day, but it is also parkrun (I missed last week), Murder mystery party (Can’t wait to tell you more) and we are watching Deadpool. Now that I am seeing that all written down I suddenly realise it is going to be a busy weekend.
This idea has been written in my planner for forever and has also been pinned for the same amount of time. I was completely inspired by this video from San-tie Nails. I wanted to do it in Christmas colours, then I wanted to do it in winter colours and even considered valentine colours. Of course, it being summer now I couldn’t resist going neon. I can actually feel the seasons changing so this might just be my desperate attempt at getting the most out of neons 😛 Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and left that to dry completely while I made the decals. For the decals I stamped using Pueen54. I then filled in the polka dots using China Glaze – That’s shore bright, China Glaze – Flip flop fantasy, China Glaze – Too yacht to handle and China Glaze – Highlight of my summer. I didn’t really have any logic in the order that I filled in the dits, which in hindsight might’ve been a good idea. Once the decals were done and dry, I applied them to all my nails. Unfortunately my ring finger was trimmed a little too much, add some shrinkage from topcoat and I sit with a nice big white gap. Oh well. I topcoated it all and that was that.
Of course, this was so much brighter in person, the camera does the neons no favours. I really loved the colours together. I wish I had thought more about the placement of the colours but I did end up kind of liking it as is anyway. What do you think?
Have a fabulous weekend folks, I’ll see you on the other side.
