I hope you’re having a good week so far. Mine hasn’t been bad at all. I wouldn’t mind a few extra hours but otherwise it’s been good.
It’s NAILLinkup time! I swopped around week 3 and week 4 this month. You can check out all the prompts on the poster below. Remember, the dates are just a guideline. You can also find more info about NAILLINKUP and the March prompts here.
Ok so I swapped the weeks around so I am doing Aquamarine this week. I love the prompt but when it came to doing it I was a little stumped. Finding a proper aquamarine polish was tough. Google didn’t help much with such a wide variety in colour. So of course I turned to a few friends for help and got the best idea and inspiration.
I was inspired by this image of aquamarine
Let me show you what I did.
I started with 1 coat of Sinful Colors – Sugar rush on all my nails and waited for that to dry completely. I then did a sponged gradient using Sinful Colors – Sugar rush and Sinful Colors – Love nails. I let that dry a bit and then used a fan brush and Sinful Colors – Snow me white to make the white sweeping strokes across each nail. I once again let that dry. I then used a small piece of sponge and Essence – Love is in the air – don’t breathe! to make the darker spots randomly on each nail. I finally topcoated and that was that.
