Hi lovelies,
How has your week been? It has been a short one (thank goodness for that) but it has been a tough one. Very tough.
It’s supposed to be autumn which means cooler weather but it has been boiling hot here the last week. It has felt like summer all over again. I am SO ready for cooler weather. So of course, I whipped out the neons and did some more bright (summery) nail art. Let me show you,
I started out with 1 coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails. Once that was 10000% dry I went to work with vinyls and sponged gradient. I first did the gradient on my middle and ring finger using China Glaze – Glow with the flow, China Glaze – Daisy know my name and China Glaze – Treble maker. While waiting for that to dry completely I added the Aztech nail vinyls from Because I shop to my index and pinky. I then did the same sponged gradient over the vinyls and removed the vinyls as soon as I could. Once my ring and middle was dry I added the same vinyls but this time turned them the opposite direction. I then added Sinful Colors – Snow me white and removed the vinyls immediately. I topcoated and that was that. I can see that I messed up up a bit when I removed the vinyls but I could only really notice it on the close up photos.
I really liked the bright gradient and combined with the white it felt really summery. I wasn’t sure if starting with a gradient before the vinyls or sponging it on after would make a big difference but it was just enough of a difference to make it look almost reversed. In hindsight I wish I had kept the vinyls all in the same position because then it really would’ve looked like reverse images. What do you think? Does it work?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Gorgeous!!! This is a look I can definitely see myself wearing during the summer (I’m on the northern hemisphere and it’s finally starting to look like spring over here. I’m SO ready for warmer weather… maybe we should switch places for a while 😉
