31DC2016 Day 11: Polka dots

Hello lovelies,

Happy Sunday!  I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend and refuelling for the week ahead.

In case you weren’t sure where we are in this challenge and what you have to look forward to, here are the prompts.

Today is polka dots.  I saw a photo of this floating around somewhere but for the life of me I don’t know where or who it was.  If you know who did this (or similar) first please let me know so I can credit where it’s due.

I started with 2 coats of Essence – Wild white ways and left that to dry completely. I then used tape to make a triangle from my cuticle to the tip.  I then used a small dotting tool and China Glaze – DJ blue my mind (blue), China Glaze – That’s shore bright (purple), Hean #891 (neon lime) and Hean #895 (pink) to make little polka dots on the exposed triangle. I then removed the tape and topcoated.

I am not sure if I did this any justice to be honest.  I love the idea but I am not sure I did the best job.  Looking at it now I have so many idea to jazz this up.  I guess it just means I will have to try it again.  What do you think?  Do you think it works?
