Hello lovelies,
It still feels strange for me to be posting on a weekend. I hope you’re having a good one though. Yesterday did turn out to be a rather hot day but by the afternoon it had turned and now the weather is nice and cool again. It seems if I complain about the heat enough it will cool down. Gosh and it isn’t even summer yet.
Here is the list of prompts. The list that I am most concerned about is approaching quite fast.
I wanted to do glitter placement for this prompt. I have regular metallic glitter hexes and then I have 3 lots of holo glitter. Obviously I wanted to do holo glitter even though it doesn’t really show up well on the photos. What I also didn’t realise at the time was that the holo glitter was much smaller and also not evenly shaped. This made placing them much harder. I only realised this after starting and by then I was already in love with the holo. So I just went with covering as much of my nail with glitter as I could and not so much the placement. So, let me show you.
This was really quite simple actually. I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Black on black. Once it was completely dry I used clear polish (not topcoat, it dries faster than regular clear polish) and did small sections at a time. Once all the glitter was placed I added topcoat. After a few minutes I added another coat just to make sure my nails were smooth.
I wish the transition between the gold and pink was better. Instead of such a straight line I would”ve liked a gradual transition. This also took a while. By the time I was finished my neck was so sore from being bent over so much. Especially because I struggled so much in the beginning with the placement before I realised they were just too irregular. 2 days later my neck was still stiff. Moral of the story, move that neck 😛 Anyway, the holo of this was blinding. Once I hut the sun the placement didn’t even matter. I liked it. I will definitely be doing some glitter placement soon with evenly shaped and sized glitter. What do you think? Does it work?

I did glitter placement before so i can feel your (neck) pain. I now know glitter placement requires bigger glitter if I want to save time and my own neck.
Lovely Mani!
