Hello lovelies,
Happy Friday! Do you have fun plans for the weekend? I am going to a blogger meet on Saturday which I am sure I will share on Instagram as well. Otherwise I am hoping to relax and catch up on some nail stuff.
Some time ago I got myself some water colour pencil crayons and I hadn’t used it for ages. I pulled them out and had a play and I really loved the water colour look. It inspired me to do some water colour nails. Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Wild white ways and left that to dry completely. I then used a thin nail art brush dipped in acetone and polish blobbed on a plastic card. I used Color Club – Endless summer (blue), Color Club – Twiggie (green) and Color Club – Mrs Robinson. I dipped the brush in acetone and then ‘thinned’ the polish on the plastic card, then I made water colour ‘blobs’ on the white. I hadn’t done this before so it was all so random and a hope for the best. Once I had done all the nails I left it to dry completely. I then stamped using BM-S117 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I used different parts of the image edges and in different directions on each nail. I then topcaoted with a matte topcoat and that was that.
What do you think? Does it at least look a bit like water colour? I really like the colours together and I love it in matte. This was really fun to do even though the ‘thinned’ polish dried really fast.
