Hello lovelies,
How is your week going so far? I think most people are usually quite busy at month end. I just start panicking that the end of another month is upon us. This year is pretty much over and it is freaking me out a little. Not that I won’t enjoy a bit of a holiday though 😉
While walking through Woolworths the other day I spotted a glass bowl full of polishes and when I took a closer look I noticed it was the Pretty Paint polishes I have been seeing around. I was super intrigued by the beautiful colours so of course I had to grab a few. I was able to grab 9 of them. I am only showing you 4 today but purely because of time. I was able to give them all a try though and I will give you my opinion on the whole lot later. I also have some nail art (or is a nail fail?) using these for water marble and gradients. For now, let me show you the polish.
JT One Pretty Paint – #Fashionfun
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I LOVE this colour. It’s a beautiful turquoisy cream. It is really opaque too and after the first coat I was already super impressed. The formula is really nice. I don’t love the brush but I also don’t hate it. It’s just an average old fashioned brushed. Brush aside, this polish is gorgeous with a great formula. I also really love the shiny finish.
JT One Pretty Paint – #Happygirl
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a beautiful dusty lilac creme. This one is also very opaque with a great formula. As you can see, it also has a really shiny finish. Same brush as above but it isn’t a huge issue. I really fell in love with this colour and I was stopped twice while in the shops to ask what it was.
JT One Pretty Paint – #Justsaying
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a bright but pastel orange creme. I really enjoyed this fun summery colour. Very opaque with a great formula. I don’t know why I was expecting this one to be streaky – maybe the colour – but I was pleasantly surprised. It applied beautifully. Again quite a shiny finish.
JT One Pretty Paint – #Mintyfresh
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a minty pastel green creme. Another beautiful formula. I was pleasantly surprised because I again expected a streaky first coat. It was beautiful. I really like this softness of this one. The only thing I don’t really like about this one is the name. It sounds like a toothpaste :/
All in all, I was super impressed with not only these, but all of the polishes. They all have great formulas and opacity. The colours are all really pretty too. They all have the same brush. Again, it isn’t a terrible brush, it’s just not an awesome brush 😉 What is really nice though, is that the square white lid can pop off and the brush handle is a more manageable size. Sometimes holding the big square lid is a bit awkward so this is really nice. I also wore 2 of them for a few days and I was really impressed with the wear as well. I had no chips and very minimal tip wear, if any. I am definitely a fan of these.
You can find these at Woolworths (I found all of mine in the JT One sleepwear and underwear section and not at the cosmetics) and they are R29.95 each. This is a steal for such great polishes. I did see a bunch of glitters as well but they were all bar glitter and none really jumped out at me. After trying the polishes, I can assume the glitters will be great too.
What do you think of these? Have you tried any of the Pretty Paint polishes? I really like the variety of shades and I can’t wait to show you how – and if – they marble and gradient.
Thanks for reading,
