Hi lovelies,
I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine was equal parts busy busy and relaxing. On the one day I could actually sleep in (yesterday) I woke up at 6am. That’s ridiculous right? I was actually quite annoyed with myself but on the plus side, I did get a lot done :P.
It’s been a while since I did some twinsie nails with Juanita so I was quite excited to do this again. It is probably no surprise that we are doing halloween nails too right? Let me show you what I came up with.
I am not really a halloween kinda girl. Mostly because we don’t do halloween here in SA. It’s starting to grow but that doesn’t mean I know what makes for great halloween nail art. Luckily I had some vinyls just waiting for the job. I started with 1 coat of China Glaze – Recycle on all my nails except middle finger and left that to dry completely. I then did a sponged gradient using China Glaze – PLUR-ple, China Glaze – Recycle and China Glaze – Stone cold. I then left that to dry completely again after using some help from a quick dry topcoat (seche). I then used the Grave Stoned vinyls from Because I Shop on my index, ring and pinky with Sinful Colors – Black on black, making sure to remove each vinyl as soon as I was done. Because my nails are quite short at the moment I moved the vinyl to a different section for each nail so it was slightly different. On my middle finger I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Black on black and left that to dry. I then used a small nail art brush and Sinful Colors – Snow me white, China Glaze – Recycle and China Glaze – PLUR-ple to create the ‘moon’. I wanted to stay with the purple hue so it went with the rest of my nails. While that was drying I used the same brush to draw on some really sad looking trees between the grave stones. I then stamped the bats over the ‘moon’ using BM-H08 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then topcoated all my nails with seche and when that was dry I topcaoted again using the Essence gummy touch topcoat called Bounce bounce (what a random name). Aaand that was that.
What do you think? Does it seem halloween ish? I don’t have the colour scheme. Luckily I got a bit of help here because at one point I was really stuck! Don’t forget to go check out Juanita’s halloween nails as well. Thanks for the great idea Juanita. I really do enjoy these twinsie posts even though the pressure is a bit harsh 😉
Thanks for reading,
Juanita
LoL the pressure… And is there a reason we went with the same colours?
