In all the chaos of my day it would seem this post was never published. Rather late than never right?
I’ve had this idea potting around in my head for a while but the one part just wasn’t coming together. Until I saw the stamping plate that would change it all for me. When I showed you the Bundle Monster Hangloose stamping plate I fell in love with this plate and all the ideas it created. This was the final piece I needed for this idea. Let me show you what I did.
I started with one coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and once it was dry I did a water marble. I used Color Club – Wicker park and Color Club – Twiggie for the water marble. I then let the marble dry completely while I went to work on the decals. I used BM-S402 and Mundo de Unas – Black to stamp the strip of pattern. I then used Color Club – Twiggie and Color Club – Wicker park to to colour in the one part of each image. I did 3 with Color Club – Wicker park and 3 with Color Club – Twiggie and left them to dry completely. Once everything was dry I added one green and one pink strip the cuticle and tip of my middle and ring fingers. On my index I used one green strip at my cuticle and on my pinky I used the pink strip at the tip. Unfortunately when I was applying the green strip on my ring finger I pulled it a bit hard and the image is a bit distorted. Now it looks a bit like waves 😛 I topcoated and that was that.
I really like how this came out and I really like the image I could use to add some geometric shape to this. I also really like the colours. I actually have a swatch for you of
Color Club – Wicker park
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It is a pink toned purple or a purple toned pink creme. It’s one of my favourite shades and this formula is also just stunning. It applied beautifully and is really opaque. Now that I am looking at the swatch I am thinking of Essence – Purple sugar. I will have to do a comparison to see how similar they are.
What do you think? Do you think it all works? What do you think of Wicker park? I haven’t done a water marble out of choice for a very long time but this worked out quite well and now I am excited to do a few more. Oh the ideas!
