Purple petals nail art

Hello lovelies,

Oh my goodness this week is just flying!  I have quite a busy week with sewing and all I really want to do is paint my nails.  But I will persevere and sneak in a bit of polish time here and there. How has your wee been so far?

I did a bit if nail art the other day and I finally feel like I have more nail art than swatches.  But never fear, I do still have a million swatches to show you soon.   For today though, some purple petals.

I started out with 1 coat of Essence – Wild white ways on all my nails.  While that was drying I made the decals on my mani mat.  I stamped using Pueen109 and MoYou stamping polish in black.  I then used Sinful Colors – Pull over for the middle of each flower.  I then did each row of petal in a different shade of purple going from light to dark.  The first one was Essence – a whisper of spring.  The next row of petals was coloured in using China Glaze – Tart-y for the party.  The very outer petals was coloured in using Essence – Beautiful lies.  I then left the decals to dry completely and then did a sponged gradient on my pinky and index.  I used Essence – a whisper of spring at the tips and China glaze – Tart-y for the party in the middle with Essence – Beautiful lies on the cuticle end.  I topcoated the gradient and then applied the decals to my middle and ring fingers.  I ended up with a final layer of topcoat and that was that.

What do you think?  I really love the colours and I love the image.  It was one of the images I needed slightly longer nails for so it seemed like a great time to finally use it.  I have since lost some length on my nails again but luckily not as short as it was.  I liked how this turned out.  I hope your week is going well.  Can you believe December is just a few hours away?
