Hello lovelies,
I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Summer finally showed up for the weekend. It was hot and sunny and I actually got to have a swim in the pool for the first time this summer. It was a quick one but it was a good one. It looks like the rain and gloom will be back soon enough though but I am just happy to have had something. I also managed to do quite a bit of other stuff this weekend so for the next few days it is just me and my nail polish stash! What did you get up to?
I have some summery sunset nails to show you today which is very appropriate for the summer weekend we just had. I am not sure if I have ever done sunset nails before but I really enjoyed how these came out. Let me show you.
I started with 1 coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails and let that dry completely. I then did a sponged gradient using China Glaze – None of your risky business, China Glaze – Red-y to rave and China Glaze – Givers theme. Once that was completely dry I stamped using various palm tree designs – and the surfer person – from BM-405 and BM-409. I doubled stamped on my index finger using Mundo de Unas – White and then black. I stamped using black on the rest of my nails. I then added topcoat and that was that.
What do you think? Like I said I really like how it came out and I am so thrilled about the hang loose stamping plates because of all the different palm tree images. I also really like the colour combination and when I was going through the photos I had such a great idea for a different sunset so I will definitely be doing this again to see if I can make my idea work. What colours do you think works best for a sunset?
