This week is just flying by in a whizz. I still don’t have my car back and I gave the rental back on Monday as well. On Friday it will be a month since my accident and I miss my car terribly. It was nice to have the rental and not be without and it was nice to drive a different car but I really miss my car and all it’s silly features and gadgets. At least I know it is almost done and I should have her back soon. Yay! On the other hand, not having a car means my to-do list is getting some work done 😉
I have been in love with Starrily polish for was long as I have loved polish. The other day – ok maybe a few weeks – The Nail Box SA shared with me that they will be stocking Starrily for all us SA ladies who can’t get our hands on Starrily any other way. Best. News. Ever!! I picked up a few and I am showing you just one today. Let me show you
Starrily – Ultraviolet!
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is pretty much a one coater of pure deliciousness. It does dry to a semi matte finish so a topcoat really makes it shine. First of all, my lightbox does holo no favours and holo doesn’t really show up. We also haven’t had sun since I applied this so that didn’t help. That being said, you can see a hint of the holo right? That just shows you how strong the holo is if you can get a hint of it in my lightbox photo. The formula is absolutely stunning, the colour is delicious and the holo is just wow. If you follow me on Instagram you might’ve seen me showing this late one night under my lamp?

I then wanted to do some nail art without hiding too much of the gorgeous holo so I went with some stamping. Let me show you
I started with 2 coats of Starrily on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then stamped on my middle and ring finger using Pueen83 and Mundo de Unas – Lilac. I then used small, round, lilac studs from Born Pretty Store. Topcoated and that was that.
What do you think? I really love the stamp that I used but I wished I had done more to show off the holo. I have no idea why I didn’t take a photo of the nail art under my lamp to show off the holo. I sway between loving it and then feeling pretty ugh about it. Let me know what you think. I will definitely be using this polish again with better photo’s to really show off the holo. I was just way too excited to use it 😀
