Hello lovelies,
It’s been a bit of a busy start to the week but woohoo 2017! I am really looking forward to the rest of the week too. There’s a first right? What have you been up to?
A good few months ago I saw the new Sorbet polishes and I couldn’t resist grabbing a few. They’ve been lying on my desk for so long that I was actually starting to feel bad for not getting to them. So I am finally showing you some of them today. Let’s get straight to it then.
Sorbet – Bubble-yum
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a light blue creme. It is possibly the sheerest one of the lot but still pretty opaque with a great formula. The first coat is a bit sheer but has even coverage. I am a sucker for a light blue and this is a great one to add to my collection.
Sorbet – Cool water
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a beautiful bright blue creme. This is a very opaque blue even though it’s also not unique in colour. (I did a comparison a while ago with 3 other similar shades) It is a stunning formula and nice finish though.
Sorbet – Floral coral
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a bright orange creme with a stunning opacity and great formula. This bright orange is almost neon and I really liked wearing it. It applied so easy and beautifully that it almost feels like the perfect summer orange.
Sorbet – Pinko-colada
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a stuuuuuuuunning pink creme. Beautiful formula and opacity as well. I really love this pink and the shiny finish
Sorbet – Psst-achio
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a beautiful minty green creme. As expected by now, beautiful formula and opacity. You can probably see the pattern of shiny finish as well.
Sorbet – Rasberry daquiri
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a beautiful grape purple creme. I’m unsure about the raspberry in the name (I thought rasberry was more red/pink than purple) but nonetheless it’s beautiful. Really opaque and great formula. So far all of these had great formula, great opacity and great shiny finish. The colours are not unique but they are beautiful nonetheless. Now let me show you some that are a little more unique.
Sorbet – Coconut ice
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a bright pink packed with pink and silver shimmer. This has a really nice formula and opacity as well but the shimmery pink is just heavenly. This is a big favourite for me.
Sorbet – Hot moss
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a real gem. This is a beautiful teal shimmer bomb. So opaque it is almost a one coater. Stunning formula. Huge perk is that I had zero staining when I removed this one.
The cremes are real gems but the shimmers are just stunning. They had really great formulas. My only vice is the size of the bottles. They are 5ml bottles which is a little small for my liking. I paid R29.95 each which isn’t a bad price but the bottles are tiny. I really love all the colours I grabbed and I will definitely be grabbing a few more. What do you think? Which one is your favourite? Have you tried any of these polishes?
Thanks for reading,
Renita
Really pretty shades but I don’t see myself spending R30 for 5ml 😛

I definitely agree with you there. I bought them when they were 3 for 2 so I grabbed a few to test out. They are really nice formula wise so I will grab again when they are on 3 for 2 but I think Sorbet in general is a bit pricey. They do also have the bigger bottles.

I’m a sucker for pretty cremes so I guess it’s a good thing these aren’t available over here 😉
Michelle Roberts
hahahaha count your blessings! Although I would be a goner if I had access to all the brands available in other countries 😛
Juanita
I’m with Michelle! If I could get my hands on some of the polishes you have, I’d be in heaven!!
Leanie
I hope that you have purchased the Sunset Cruise nail polish from Sorbet. I have purchased some of these last year while they had a sale on buy two and receive one for free. Coconut Ice are also looking fab!
Michelle Roberts
Thanks Leanie. At the time I just took what was available but I will definitely look again when they are 3 for 2. I also bought these on that sale.
Juanita
I like hot moss, reminds me of one essence colour I have. I must say I wouldn’t really spend R30, unless it really tickles me.
Michelle Roberts
I definitely agree with you. I bought it when it was 3 for 2 and then it’s not too bad. Which btw, is on again. You can get 3 for 2 at the moment.

The sorbet was very clear and see through for me. Am I doing something wrong even after two coats. It seems unlikely to get your results
Michelle Roberts
Was it one specific polish or all of them? I have used 2 Sorbet polishes that were also very sheer and not very pigmented and i will probably not use them. If you have the problem with all of them, perhaps make sure they are mixed well and not separated in any way. A good shake will help with that.
