Happy Friday! Gosh this has been a crazy week. In a good way but also in an exhausting way. I am looking forward to the first parkrun of the year. I just hope my legs will carry me that far because it has been a few weeks. And knowing my luck it will be a scorcher too. What are your weekend plans?
I remember watching an episode of Project Runway where they had to create an outfit that would look one way in normal light and then it would move to UV light where glow in the dark components would then show up. One dress was plain white but when it moved into the UV light there were emojis in different neon colours and neon paint splatter all over the dress. It has stuck with me and that gave me the idea for this look. Let me show you
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Wild white ways on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then stamped using Mundo de Unas – Black and BPX-L001 to stamp all the emojis. I then topcoated to make sure the stamping doesn’t get smeared when I add the colour. I used a thin nail art brush with drops of polish and acetone to make the ‘splashes’ of colour. I used China Glaze – You drive me coconuts, China Glaze – DJ Blue my mind and China Glaze – Daisy know my name?. I then ended it off with a matte topcoat.
What do you think? I know the emoji trend is all over but I was really excited to get and use this stamping plate. The bright colours is a big win as well.
