Hello lovelies,
It has been so incredibly hot the last few days that I think I may have lost half my body weight in sweat. I am melting. All of you enjoying winter or autumn I am SO jealous right now. How has your week been?
Since November 2016 our postal service seems to have gone for a ball of chalk. I have only just received my packages from October onwards. I am still going to show you the polishes though and let me tell you why. I am going to show you quite a few Dollish Polish collections that is not available in her store anymore. I am still showing you because Dollish Polish also has a Clearance bin store where she lists all discontinued and retired shades (at great prices). So chances are good that you might find some of these polishes in the Clearance Bin store at some point – If not already. So please don’t be mad for showing you polishes that you might not be able to get right now (there are a good few for me to still show you) but if you fall in love with any keep an eye out on the Clearance Bin store. Ok? Let’s go!
I am showing you the Zombieland collection. This collection is based on the Zombieland movie and inspired by the Rules of survival. This collection was a halloween collection (so super late, thanks SAPO) and is not available at the moment but I wouldn’t be surprised if this either makes a comeback in the store this year or make an appearance in the Clearance Bin store. I’m quite a fan of this collection so let me show you.
Dollish Polish – Rule #1: Cardio
This is 2 coats with topcoat. I probably could’ve used a third coat to get rid of the nail line completely but it wasn’t so visible in real life. This is a yellow toned orange with iridescent flakes for days. The formula was really great and easy to work with. I wasn’t sure about the colour at first but once it was on I actually really liked it. The flakies are just gorgeous and catches the light so beautifully. let me give you a closer look.
Dollish Polish – Rule #2: Double tap
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a deep wine red with holo, silver micro flakes and holo flakes. Stunning formula and opacity. Of course, anything with holo is already a winner but this is also a beautiful colour and the addition of the flakes makes it even more so. Let me give you a closer look at the polish and then show you the holo.
Dollish Polish – Rule #3: Beware of bathrooms
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a clear base with gunmetal holo holo glitter, metallic purple and green glitter and some multichrome flakes with holo shimmer. This one is a beaut! The formula was a little thicker than the ones before but it actually helped with the application. This polish is so packed with glitter that even though this is a clear base it was still completely opaque in 2 coats. It does dry a little gritty but it was smooth once I added topcoat. I am very in love with this polish especially with the colours together. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Rule #4: Seatbelts
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a dark teal jelly with green, blue, copper and gold glitter. The formula was nice and application is great but I am somewhat underwhelmed. It’s still absolutely beautiful but it looks so beautiful in the bottle that I expected a bit more. It might be that I didn’t shake it enough so I will definitely use it again and see if there is any difference. Make no mistake tough, this is still a beautiful polish. A great formula and it applied well with great glitter coverage. Let me give you a closer look,
Dollish Polish – Rule #17: Don’t be a hero
This is 3 coats with topcoat. Take a deep breath because this is a proper beaut. It was so shiny that it reflected anything but this is a black jelly with multichrome glitter. The glitter shifts from orange to red to green to gold. The formula is great and it applies beautifully and evenly. I suppose you could layer this and use 1 layer over a black base but I like the depth the glitter creates with multiple layers. I have polishes with shifting glitter but this one is the strongest and biggest shift of all. It was hard to really capture the beauty but you can get a better look at the shift in the closer look
Here you can see the green and gold shifts on the sides and the orange and red shift in the middle. I wondered how it would look matte – and if it would help see the shift more – and I loved the result.
Dollish Polish – Rule #18: Limber up
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is a brown base with coppery / gold micro glitter. I was really surprised by how pretty this one was. The formula was great too and it was beautifully opaque. I think this will be a beautiful base for nail art as well. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Rule #22: When in doubt, know your way out
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a dusty, sage green creme. The formula was good and opacity was good. It is a creme so it might be considered boring compared to the rest of the collection but it is a beautiful creme. I also think the colour is quite gorgeous too. Actually, it looks a bit zombie flesh like. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Rule#31: Check the back seat
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a metallic royal purple with a silver shimmer. This is a beautiful polish that is so opaque it could be a one coater. It also has a stunning formula. Smooth and beautiful and delicious. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Rule #32: Enjoy the little things
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a mustard yellow with a duochrome shimmer that shifts from gold to green. The shift isn’t super obvious but if you look in the bottle above the doll head you can see the green shift a bit and on my index you can see the gold shift. Great formula and surprisingly opaque for a yellow. Let me give you a closer look with a bit more of the shift.
What do you think? Do you have any from this collection? Which one is your favourite? It’s almost impossible for me to just choose one favourite because they’re all so gorgeous and so unique. I think Rule #17: Don’t be a hero is probably the most unique and most different. But truthfully, they’re all incredibly beautiful.
Thanks for reading,
acidicice
Double tap and Seatbelts are my favourites 😀
