Taped dotticure

Hello lovelies,

Yay for Friday!  This has been a busy but good week.  How has your week been?  It’s still so hot here.  We’ve had some cloudy days with a bit of rain but I think that just helped make it more humid.  I am melting!

I’m a lover of polka dots.  There is just no denying that a polka dot is always a winner but sometimes what I do with the polka dot might not always work.  Today I am not sure if this works but I do like some of it.  So let me show you

I started with two coats of China Glaze – Sorry I’m latte and left that to dry completely.  I then made polka dots in random sizes using Sinful Colors – Dream on (purple, Sinful Colors – Why not (blue) and hean #809 (green).  I topcoated and let it dry completely again.  I then used tape on my pinky, middle and index diagonally across and then added a coat of China Glaze – Flying dragon making sure to remove the tape immediately.  I then topcoated the taped nails again and that was that. This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a beautiful nude creme with a great formula.  I am not sure why it’s taken me so long to use it because it is a beautiful polish and a beautiful colour.  This polish is from the House of Colour collection.

I am not sure if Flying dragon really looks good here.  It is such a beautiful polish and for some reason it looks a little dull.  Or am I just fussy? I really like the combination of the polka dot colours. What do you think?  Does it work?  Should I redo it in some way?  I’d love to hear your suggestions.
