Hello lovelies,
It’s Fridaaaaaayyy! It’s been a week. I am glad it is weekend. I have picked up a sniffle and I hope I can take it easy this weekend and kick it in the butt. What are you doing this weekend?
I have another amazing Born Pretty Store stamping plate to show you today. I am obsessed with the variety of nail art goodies available at Born Pretty Store. Today I am showing you L027 and you can find it here (or click on the image).
I really fell in love with this plate because it’s all so crafty and sewing oriented. Which is really my other love. Even though it is very sewing-esque it is not limiting at all. The patterns are very versatile. Before I show you what I did let’s take a moment to talk about the plate. If you’ve got any of the Born Pretty Store rectangular stamping plates then you know what to expect. The plate has a white plastic backing that is slightly larger than the plate. The size of the plate is more or less 12cm x 6cm. The plate is etched beautifully and I have not had any problems picking up images using multiple stampers and polishes. The plate comes with a blue protective film that needs to be removed before use. Ok, now let me show you what I did.
I started with 1 coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and left that to dry completely. While I was waiting I pulled out my mani mat and made a decal from the big buttons on the bottom right. I stamped using Mundo de Unas – Black and filled it in using Nubar – Pasadena purple. I then did a stamped smoosh using Essence – a whisper of spring, Morgan Taylor – Invitation only, Nubar – Pasadena purple and OPI – Vant to bite my neck. I then applied the button decal on my ring finger using topcoat and stamped the whole button images on the rest of my nails using Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated and voila. I really like the purple smoosh and the buttons are so cute!
Obviously, I couldn’t just do one bit of nail art so let me show you what else I did.
Besides the obvious nail break, I started with 3 coats of Dollish Polish – Penny…penny…penny. Once that was completely dry I stamped using the big bow and Mundo de Unas – Copper. I then stamped over the bows again using Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated and stared at my nails for hours. I really love these colours and the double stamping actually gives the bow a lot of depth. I also have a swatch for you.
Dollish Polish – Penny…penny…penny
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a peachy milky base with a copper iridescent shimmer. Filled with copper glitter. The formula was great and it applied really easily and smoothly. I loved the glitter coverage and how they didn’t need placing or smoothing around to get good coverage. I am however, obsessed with this polish. I am obsessed with the name (Big bang theory reference if you’re unsure) and I am obsessed with the colour combo. Stunning polish! Let me give you a closer look
So, what do YOU think? What do you think of the plate and what I did with it. Do you have this plate or is it in your wishlist? If you want to grab this plate for yourself don’t forget to use my discount code below to get 10% off.

Your bow manicure looks awesome! I’ve got a polish that looks quite like Penny Penny Penny so I’m going to try and use that one soon 🙂

I think I might’ve spotted the polish you mention here? Have you used it yet? I am going to go comment on the post because I looooooove it.
