52 week nail art challenge – Week 10: Inspired by music

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  The humidity has been a total killer the last few days. So far it is pretty decent but with my luck it will now turn into a scorcher of  day.  Yes it is absolutely that time of year where I moan about the weather the whole time because I am so over summer.  😉

I am so excited that I’ve managed to keep up with 10 weeks of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. If you haven’t seen it yet,  it is similar to the 31 Day challenge except  this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week.  Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.

This week the prompt is inspired by music and I feel like it was just a wreck.  I am going to show you but please don’t point and laugh….too much 😛

Ok, there is a lot going on here.  I’ll start with my index but all of my nails I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Intelligence, Integrity & courage. On my index I stamped using BM-S313 and China Glaze – Recycle.  This is subtle stamping so you can’t really see the words in the background but they’re there.  I then made the decal of the M using BM-S320 and Mundo de Unas – Black and then coloured it in using China Glaze – You drive me coconuts.  I stamped the notes from BM-S316 and Mundo de Unas – Blue and Mundo de Unas – Purple. I topcoated and that is that for the index.  On my middle finger I made the ‘U’ decal using BM-S320 and Mundo de Unas – Nabu and the coloured it in using China Glaze – Five rules. I then made another decal usingBM-S320 and Mundo de Unas – Black to make the gramophone.  I then coloured it in using Mundo de Unas – bronze. I topcoated and then moved on to the ring finger.  On my ring finger I stamped using BM411 and China Glaze – Recycle.  Once again, this is a subtle background of notes. I made decal of the S using Mundo de Unas – Blue and coloured it in using China Glaze – I’m with the lifeguard.  The I was done using Mundo de Unas – Purple and coloured in with China Glaze – Five rules.  I then stamped the notes using Mundo de Unas – Nabu and BM-S316.  I topcoated and moved on to my pinky – finally.  I stamped using BM-S313 and Mundo de Unas – Ribbon.  The old school music tapes are not very visible but they’re there.  I then made the decal of the C using Mundo de Unas – white and coloured it in with Nubar – Noir.  I then stamped the notes using BM-S316 and Mundo de Unas – Nabu, Purple and Blue.  I topcoated and that was finally it.

I am really chuffed that I had the Bundle Monster Musik City stamping plates as they were PERFECT for this prompt.  I got almost everything off that one set of stamping plates.  Like I said earlier, I am not sure this is a win at all.  The ‘M’ is terribly smudged and it all feels a bit busy.  I am not sure if it makes sense in any way.  BUT, it’s inspired by music right? 😛  What do you think?
