Hello lovelies,
The first part of this week just flew by. Perhaps because it is nearing the end of the month. Here’s hoping the last part also goes quick because I can do with some weekend. How has your week been so far?
There are days where I sit down wanting to do my nails but I have zero inspiration. Or maybe I have too many ideas and don’t know where to start. Often on these days I tend to go with something I enjoy doing. Gradients, stamping, leopard print, these are what I usually gravitate to. Sometimes I just don’t know when to stop. Like this. This is a reciprocal gradient with some vinyls and stamping thrown in for good measure.
I started with a coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails and waited for that to dry completely. I then did a sponged gradient using China Glaze – Pink or swim and China Glaze – Intelligence, integrity & courage. Once that gradient was completely dry I used a chevron vinyl on each nail. I then reversed the gradient (reciprocal) making sure to remove the vinyl immediately after I was happy with the gradient. I really liked how it looked at this point but of course I couldn’t leave well enough alone. I wasn’t sure if the change of colour would show up well enough for me to just leave it at that (I was wrong) so I added some black stamping. I stamped using BM604 and MoYou stamping polish in black. I thought it would be cute if I stamped the image in varying ‘depth’ so that it got bigger from one side to the other. I now think it looks a bit silly but anyway, it’s done.
I really love the pink and grey colour combo. I always have and I always will. I also really like the almost optical illusion it created doing the reciprocal gradient. What do you think? Should I have left the stamping off?
Thanks for reading,
