Hello lovelies,
Happy Monday. Happy April! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. I did more relaxing than I expected but I also got a nice portion of work done. April is packed with public holidays which means busy busy busy. So the more I can do now the better for me.
It’s week 14 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.
I thought it would be fairly simple to do something for this prompt but in the end I really struggled. It was just an accumulation of a lot of little things going wrong. I finally just settled for what I had and hoped for the best. Let me show you.
I got some chrome powder from Born Pretty Store a while back and I knew I wanted to use it for this prompt. When I started I used it over black but it just left a lot of black speckle peeping through. I then decided to use it over white and it eliminated most of that problem. I then stamped on all my nails Pueen27 and Mundo de Unas – Reddish. I topcoated and that was that.
It is pretty simple but not at all the striking result I had hoped for. To be honest, I don’t think you could tell what the base colour was or that it made much of a difference. I like the stamping though. What do you think?
Thank for reading,
Renita
As always your stamping is flawless! Do you have a pic of your silver before stamping?
Michelle Roberts
Oh gosh, that is a huge compliment! Thank you so much. Unfortunately I don’t. I wasn’t sure if it was going to make the cut but I will definitely take a pic the next time I use it.
