Hello lovelies,
What a week! ALL the renovations and work at home is finally finished but who would’ve thought it would be so hard to get back to your normal routine and schedule?! I am struggling to keep up with my to-do list but I know if I can settle down I will be able to catch up proper. Hopefully this weekend is it. What are your plans?
It’s Friday Triad time with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month it was my turn to choose (no pressure) and I chose this post by Kakine Nail Art. This is also one I have had pinned for a while. It’s so beautiful in its simplicity.
This month I went more with a recreation. Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of Nubar – Noir on my pinky and 2 coats of ILNP – Bikini bottoms on the rest of my nails. Once it was all dry I stamped on my ring and middle finger using Pueen46 and Mundo de Unas black. I topcoated that with seche so that it would dry completely and I then used straight liner vinyls from Because I shop. I placed them vertically up my nail and then used Nubar – Noir to paint the sides of each nail black, leaving the middle stamping exposed. I then topcoated everything and voila!
I was so intrigued how Bikini bottoms looked a bit different in shade once I added the black on top of it. Almost like it had a more purple tint to it. It’s such a beautiful polish I just knew I had to use it for this. I was feeling so rotten with this cold that I didn’t even try to show off the holo but the bottle certainly wasn’t having that. I will do swatches of this in future to show off how beautiful it is but you can get an idea from the bottle. I also really like the inspiration. It’s quite simple (not over the top) but still so beautiful. I was very tempted to do the stamping on all my nails but I am trying to NOT fall back in that trap 😛 .
What do you think? Don’t forget to check out Joyce and Juanita to see how they absolutely rocked this! Have a great weekend and I will see you on the other side!
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Hehe, I just KNEW you had to use pink 🙂
But your pink is absolutely gorgeous and you did a great job on the swirls… beautiful manicure!
(and why didn’t I think of vinyls… would have been so much easier… argh…)

Hahaha I was gonna say you are so smart knowing I would use pink but I suspect that it might just be super obvious 😛 Thank you so much! Vinyls are magic, especially the straight, slightly wider than tape kind 😛
Juanita
That holo is stunning!! Sorry for only commenting now… Don’t know how I missed it. I love how it turned out. Also vinyls FTW
