Hello lovelies,
Did you have a fabulous weekend? I sure hope so. Mine was lazy and I did very little but mostly because I couldn’t (I’ll explain in a bit). I am also ready to tackle this week head on. Oh. we are also trying Gutsy Green this week! I am very excited about that. Gutsy Green is like the SA version of Hello Fresh. basically you get the food and recipe delivered to you and you cook it. Do you want to hear more about it when it arrives and how it goes? There are a few of these services around and we will work our way through a few of them as well.
So I mention I couldn’t move much. I had a session with the personal trainer on Friday and I think he broke me. My legs are so sore I can barely walk proper. I am dehydrating so that I don’t have to go to the loo too often. It is ridiculous. I wonder if he is going to break me even more today. Please keep me in your thoughts. If I am not back tomorrow then you can safely assume I am proper broken :/
Here we are at week 31 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.
Week 31 is yellow. Not exactly the most fun or easy colour out there to be inspired by but I do have some favourite colours to go with yellow. So let me show you what I did.
I started with 3 coats of Butter London – Jasper on my pinky and index and 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on my middle and ring finger. Once that was completely dry I used a dotting tool and China Glaze – Intelligence, Integrity & courage to make polka dots on my middle and ring finger. I then went over each of those grey dots with Butter London – Jasper and made a polka dot just off centre of the grey. I had to do two layers of the yellow polka dots to make sure the grey didn’t show too much through the yellow. I then topcoated everything and that was that.
I didn’t love how my skin looked in the photos but I did like the yellow, grey and white combination. I think yellow and grey always looks good together and who doesn’t like polka dots right? What do you think? What would you have done for this prompt? Do you like yellow? I do have a swatch for you of
Butter London – Jasper
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. It had a nice but thin formula. It wasn’t runny so it actually made it easy enough to apply. It was quite sheer at first (and I was holding my breath, waiting for a disaster) but after the second and third coats it had leveled out beautifully and looked great. The fact that the formula was thin meant it was easy to get to 3 coats without it feeling lumpy and clumpy. I’ve had better yellows opacity wise but this was pretty good to apply. It’s not a unique shade of yellow but it is pretty.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
What happened to my comments?
I swear, my mobile eats them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Anyway, love the combo of yellow and gray and that’s a gorgeous yellow… *mind wanders off to chicks -> spring -> Easter -> eggs… chocolate eggs*

I just saw chocolate eggs and then I didn’t see anything else! I LOVE the way you think 😛
Thank you so much. I promise I did not eat your comments. It must be your phone 😀

I think my comments are going the same way yours are… I’m sure I commented on stuff and then it’s gone and I feel bad.

Ugh I am so sorry that you guys are having an issue. One of the reasons why my comments are always so delayed is because I refuse to comment from my phone anymore. It takes forever and then 9 times out of 10 it will disappear or have sort of problem. So I have to wait till I have some pare time on the computer (I am sorry for spamming you with comments every few weeks 😛 )
