Hey guys!
How is your week treating you so far? I can’t actually believe it’s Wednesday already! It’s just flying by. This post is such a long time coming so let me just get straight into it.
Dollish Polish released the Stranger Things collection quite a while ago. Of course it only arrived seven years later but I have also taken my fine time getting this post done. I just received the Danger Zone collection and I am going to work work to make sure it’s not this long.
I really enjoyed watching Stranger Things and of course when Dollish Polish announced this collection I got super excited. If you just think about the show you can just imagine how amazing this collection can be. And is. This collection has been restocked for the final time so if you want to grab anything you better run run run……
Dollish Polish – Demogorgon
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a duochrome flashing from burgundy/gold to blue/green. The blue side was a little harder for me to capture but you can definitely see it in the bottle. This beautiful polish applied like a dream and is a good opacity but I did use 3 coats to see if it would show the shifts even more. I think 2 coats will be just fine. I will show you a few more photos in a sec with more angles to see more shifts. I love this whole collection but this is one of my top 2. This is a total winner!
Dollish Polish – Eleven
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a dusty pink with a duochrome shimmer. The shimmer flashes purple to violet. I will show you the macro in a second but I actually took it in different lights to show you just how breathtaking that shimmer is. This is surprise polish. It looks like a pretty pink with a shimmer but man alive it is gorgeous. The formula is also really great and even though it is light it gets pretty opaque in 3 very easy coats. This is a stunner you guys.
Dollish Polish – Friends don’t lie
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is described as a navy creme with aqua/green shimmer, loaded with iridescent micro flakes and holo glitters. This applies like a dream and I don’t think photos can do the shimmer and shiny any justice. If you are a blue girl then this is a must have! You can definitely expect to see this one often!
Dollish Polish – Monster on Mirkwood
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a dusty green with grey undertones and a multi chrome shimmer. The shimmer shifts from gold to green. This is such a beautiful polish that I am actually surprised by how much I loved it. That shimmer is stunning and goes perfectly with the base colour. This is almost like Eleven. It’s a beautiful colour and office appropriate but in certain light it is breathtaking.
Dollish Polish – Mornings are for coffee and contemplation
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a jam packed glitter in a clear base. The micro glitter is varying shades of browns (coffee shades), navy, turquoise, beige and burnt orangy with colour shifting micro flakes. I wasn’t sure if I should’ve used this over a base but I thought I would give it a try and it actually works really well on it’s own. On the photos you could some bare nail but in real life it was just glitter and sparkle and shiny. It did applied easily even with 3 coats. I will definitely try it with a nude base colour and use maybe 1 or 2 coats of this. This is quite unique and super beautiful.
Dollish Polish – Mouth breather
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a duchrome with orange, pink, magenta and gold shifts with a a pink / violet shimmer. You can see more of the shift in the bottle than on my nails. I had a hard time getting the shift to really show off. As I am writing this I think I should maybe had tried this over a black base. I wasn’t disappointed in this one because it is beautiful anyway but the other 2 duochrome polishes definitely have more shift. I will try it over black and let you know. Let me show you some more angles.
Dollish Polish – Should I stay or should I go.
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a duochrome blue to purple shift with a hint of gold. This applied beautifully and is actually really opaque too. The shift is beautiful. More obvious than Mouth Breather but not quite as woah as Demogorgon. It’s absolutely gorgeous though. You can see on the macro below the purple on the bottom edge. Stunning!
Dollish Polish – The Upside down
This is 2 coats with topcoat. You guys! You GUYS!! Firstly, this is my absolute favourite from the whole collection. This is a duochrome holo shifting from a teal to indigo AND it has holo flakes and micro glitters. I adore the unique colour and the holo is really strong too ( I mean you can see it on my nails and it’s lightbox pics). Throw in the holo flakes and I am sold! The formula is perfect and the colour is perfect and the holo is perfect. I am obsessed with this polish.
What do you think? Which one is your favourite? Or favourites? Like I said, I love the whole collection and would highly recommend all of them but Demogorgon and The Upside down are my absolute favourite. Eleven and Monster on Mirkwood were my biggest surprises. Guys, I don’t know how long this collection will still be available for, so go grab them while you can. Let me know what you think of this collection and if you saw the show.
Thanks for reading,
Renita

I think you should pick a favourite just for your SS benefit 😀

Oh I love Demogorgon. And how does Friends don’t lie compare to LA girl brilliant blue?
Michelle Roberts
Demogorgon is GORGEOUS!! I think the base colour is pretty damn close but the glitter is different. I think I should do a comparison 😀
