Blue on blue nail art

Hey guys!

How has your week been? I must say it feels weird that it is Friday already.  It feels like Tuesday to me seeing as my week really only started on Thursday.  No complaints from me though, 2 day weeks are the best! I am very happy that it is Friday and that I can enjoy another lazy few days.  Do you have any weekend plans?

I am having the hardest time with my nails.  I enjoy a good DIY session but I forget the damage it can cause.  Luckily I am not very fussed about my nails being a specific length.  I enjoy playing around with it and I can have as much fun with shorter nails as longer nails.  I am however bordering on too short for my liking but I am giving my nails tons of TLC in the hopes of stopping that from happening.  I do have different ideas when my nails are shorter so let me show you what I did.

I started with 2 coats of Dollish Polish – Oh, you’re so cool Brewster (swatch here) and left that to dry completely.  While that was drying I started making the flower decals.  I stamped using BP-L066 and Mundo de Unas – Black.  I then filled in each flower using Essence – Instant match. When everything was ready I layered the flowers on the tips if my ring finger and middle finger.  I then topcoated and that was that!

I really love how this turned out.  I was a little concerned at first that the blue flowers was too dark or too similar to the base blue but once I had worn them in the day too I fell in love!  I really like the combination and I really like the flower image I used too. I love the simplicity but yet so wow.  Throw in that holo and it’s mind blowing! What do you think?  Do you think it works?
