52 week nail art challenge – Week 35: Orange

Hey guys,

Happy Monday!  Did you have a good weekend? As you can see I survived the Muddy Princess – barely – and I will tell you ALL about it a bit later in the week.  I am back to sick again so combined with the battle scares of the weekend I am on a ‘move very slow’ mission.  What did you do the weekend?  Did you do something amazing? It’s time for week 35 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except  this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week.  Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.

I actually can’t believe it’s week 35 already.  I have really enjoyed all these prompts and I love the 1 a week schedule. If you haven’t joined in yet, it would be really fun to join in next year.  I hope you will. Let me show you what I did,

I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on my index and middle finger, 2 coats of OPI – Live, love, carnaval on my ring finger and 2 coats of OPI – Where did Suzi’s mango? on my pinky.  While my nails were drying I started with the decals.  I stamped using Lina Feeling Shapely 4 and Mundo de Unas – Black.  I then used OPI – Live, love, carnaval and OPI – Where did Suzi’s mango? to colour in sections of the image.  Once everything was dry I applied the decals to my index and middle fingers, topcoated and that was that.

What do you think? I quite like these particular shades of orange and I think they worked quite well together too.  I was a little nervous about this prompt because orange on it’s own scares me a little but I thought it turned out ok.
