Broken butterflies nail art

Hey guys,

It’s the weeeeeeekend!!  Long weekend to boot! We don’t have anything huge planned but I am certainly looking forward to the break.  What about you?  Any great plans?  I am hoping to catch up on sleep.  No idea why I am so exhausted but I am sure a few extended naps will help 😛

I feel like I threw everything but the kitchen sink on my nails today.  I started with an idea, didn’t get the vision I expected about half way through and then just kept going to see what would happen.  Let me show you what happened.

On my index and pinky I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Black on black.  On my ring and middle finger I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Kiss my sherbet lips. Once everything was completely dry I used some chameleon flakies from Born Pretty Store over the pink.  This is where my plan changed completely.  The flakies look really nice on the pink but it wasn’t the idea I had in mind.  So I thought I would just stamp over the very pretty flakies over a very pretty polish.  I then stamped the butterflies using Lina Make your Mark 01 and Mundo de unas – Black.  I just love this butterfly image and it gives the image such a nice look.  This is why I went with the title I did.  I topcoated and that was it.

What do you think?  I really like it but it would seam the flakies with the pink is just so reflective.  I love the colours together and I really love the image I stamped.  I again have a million ideas for this image again.  Have you used these flakies before?  Do you like them? Have a beautiful (long) weekend guys.  I’ll see you on the flip side!
