Hi guys,
What a weekend! Did you have a good one? What did you get up to? We had some ridiculous rain on Friday which resulted in some flooding. I am so sick of having to be afraid of the heavy rains and what it could mean. I am already so scared of water and the powerful destruction it can cause. I’m such a whiner but anyway. Luckily, Candice has come home (from New Zealand) for a little visit (ok, mostly for exams) and we got to spend some invaluable time with her catching up and having the best time. I have missed her so very much it has been the best thing to just be able to see her again.
It is week #46 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio? This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.
I can’t believe we are just a few prompts away from the end of this challenge. I have really enjoyed doing this and I had fun interpreting each prompt. I know this challenge will be back next year with a few changes and additional prompts so I hope you’re keen to join as well. But anyway, let me show you what I came with for the prompt: Grey
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Greyt times on my middle and index finger and 2 coats of Essence – Step into the grey zone on my pinky and ring finger and left that all to dry completely. Once it was dry I did a stamped smoosh on my index and middle finger using Essence – Greyt zone, Essence – Step into the grey zone and Essence – Back to black. I then used a thin nail art brush and Essence – Step into the grey zone to highlight the edges in the smoosh where the darker polishes ended up. I had hoped it would look like marble so I used a matte topcoat on all my nails.
What do you think? Does it pass the grade for marble like? On my nails I thought it was pretty good for marble but looking at the extreme close up of the photos I am not sure. I still like it enough aaaaaannnndddd, it’s all grey just like the prompt requests. Are you going to join in this challenge next year? There are some awesome prompts included and like I said, I really enjoyed this challenge this year. I was very sceptical about keeping it up but I am proud to say I haven’t missed a beat – or a week – yet.
Thanks for reading,

Ah thank you so so much xx

Awesome!!! (and water is fun as long as it’s in the shower, a bath, swimming pool or bottle… lots of it in the hands of Mother Nature can definitely wreak havoc so I don’t blame you for being scared)
