Hey guys,
How has your week been so far? Mine has been incredibly busy which also means it has flown by so far. I swear at this rate it will be Christmas and 2018 in no time. I am not sure I am ready for that so things better start slowing down quick quick. Speaking of holidays, do you have any holiday plans sorted yet? Are you going away or staying home?
So we did secret Santa again this year and so far it has been the best experience. We have had such an amazing group of ladies and it has been so fun. Everyone has been equally invested and enjoyed the experience so much. I don’t think anyone felt forgotten, left behind or like they had to drag information out of anyone. What a difference it makes.
The ladies involved this year (linking to their instagram accounts)
We decided to do the exchange at the end of October so that everyone had enough time to unpack and evaluate their gifts as well as make a Black Friday shopping list. As per tradition, it was all supposed to be secret but I had been paying attention and made my guesses. Part of the fun is seeing if you can figure out what everyone else is up to. Also as per tradition, I got the BEST box of everyone and feel ridiculously spoilt and I am actually a little overwhelmed by all the love, thought and effort put into my gifts. My secret Santa was………Heather. Gosh I don’t even have the words to say how much I not only loved everything but appreciate it all so very very much. I was having so much fun opening that I didn’t take as many photos as I expected but let me show you what I do have
My box alone was so incredibly beautiful. Heather pulled a fast one and used all the ribbon in the word to close my box….
I tried for a while and eventually grabbed the scissors. :P. Once I opened the lid….
Look how beautiful the paper and the shiny unicorn pubes!! At this point I was completely overwhelmed. There was SO MUCH STUFF!!!
The very first thing I opened was this. I squealed and gasped and I was ready to pass the box on to someone else. This alone was so incredible and amazing and dreamy I already felt like a total winner.
I mean, does it get any better? How flipped amazing is this? Unicorn slippers is like my dream come true. Like I said, I was done, I was a winner, this was the best. Except there was still a whole box to go!
I think there were 2 or 3 layers!
I ended up opening everything with one giant squeal and gasp after another. Besides my unicorn slippers I also got a UNICORN POWER BANK, a unicorn t shirt, a unicorn rescue kit (her name is Vanilla Misfit btw), Speckled eggs for days, Lush Lemony flutter AND salted coconut scrub. I got stampers, files, cuticle oil, hand lotion and Ah-mazing stamping plates. I also got a span of the most amazing polishes! You should be able to get a glimpse of everything in this photo but I will also be showing you the products I use each time I do a mani. Because trust me, I will be doing a few manis using 99% of the polishes and stamping goodies. If you have questions about something or want to see something up close or want more info just shout. On that note though, let me show you the first mani I did using products from my box.
On my index and pinky I started with 2 coats of Tonic polish – Coco on Canal street (gasp) and on my middle and ring finger I used 2 coats of Wow #312 (more gasp). Once it was all dry I stamped on my middle and ring finger using Cisi & Sisi mandala 01 plate and Colour Alike – Cherry Lollipop. I stamped the curved image near the cuticle and then stamped a smaller image on the inside of that. I topcoated and that was that.
What do you think? Aren’t the polishes just beautiful? I just love them way too much. Do you think it all works together? I am not sure why I didn’t swatch the Wow polish but I can tell you it is the most beautiful gold polish packed with holo glitter. It applies beautifully and is really quite opaque. I do have a swatch for you though.
Tonic Polish – Coco on Canal street
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a deep – almost garnet – red holo polish with the most beautiful formula. It applied like butter and was so opaque it is almost a one coater. I absolutely adore this beautiful polish and I now just have to get more Tonic polishes.
Heather, I can’t thank you enough for all the spoils. I am speechless and completely enveloped in spoils. I will have a few more manis in the next few days / weeks done with these goodies but shout if you want to know about something, see something or what to see something together.
Thanks for reading,
Juanita
I love the Tonic polish! I could really do with a nice red holo. And your mani is wow too.

Joyce
Wow… why don’t I live over there so I can join too? (because your mommy and daddy lived somewhere else, Joyce, and you were born there insteads of over here where the secret Santa lives 😉 ) The slippers are awesome but those polishes… again: wow!

I am laughing so hard right now :D. I think I should just move to where you are. Then we can do Secret Santa twice a year. :P.
Yeah I was crazy spoilt!!!
