52 week nail art challenge – Week 51: White

Happy Monday! I’ve been running around doing holiday stuff and now I am late to post.  Oops!  Did you have a good weekend? It’s been gloriously relaxing and now I am ready to take on the week head on. I don’t have much to do but still, I am ready 😛

Week #51 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio   Week #51 you guys!!  Not only is there only 1 prompt left there is also only 1 week left of this year!  This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except  this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week.  Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. There is also a whole new list of prompts for next year.  I hope you’ll join us then.

The prompt for this week is white and because I am already in the Christmas spirit, I had this idea for something white and christmassy.  Let me show you what I did.

I started with 2 coats of OPI – Funny bunny on all my nails and left that to dry completely.  I then stamped the snowflakes in random fashion using BPX-L008 and W222 for the snowflakes and Mundo de Unas – White.  I tried to keep the snowflakes lower and not as close to the tip because…. shiny! I then used WOW #340 ( from my secret santa 2017 box) to do glitter at the tips with a slight gradient.  This glitter is white so I added a little bit of Pure Ice – Bare it all, which is a fine gold glitter.  Just a smidge though because I definitely wanted the white to be predominant.  Once I was happy with the glitter I topcoated and ta-daaa!

What do you think? I was hoping the glitter would look more snow like but I am not sure if I got that.  I did like it though, especially because it is all white. Does it work for Christmas?
