52 week nail art challenge – Week 3: Unused polish

Hi gorgeous people,

Did you have a good weekend? It has been incredibly hot here.  I am not a fan of hot! Other than that it was quiet, productive and hot. Very hot 😛 What did you get up to?

Here go with another week of #52weeknailchallenge.  As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.

The prompt this week is Unused Polish….and I have many!  I thought it would be easy to choose with so many choices but as usual, it wasn’t.  I narrowed it down to 2 and asked a few people for their choices.  The clear winner was…..

Different Dimension – Cat’s eye nebula

This is 2 coats with topcoat.  This is a burgundy jelly packed with holo and micro flakies.  It is also described as having iridescent red to green color-shifting glitters. This is much more visible in the bottle than on the nail.  This polish applied like a dream and is ridiculously beautiful.  I wish the colour shifting glitters were more prominent but the polish is stunning regardless.  This is a polish from my secret santa stash and I am so glad I am finally getting to use it.  It’s been on my desk the whole time because it had to be used soon! This prompt called for an unused polish and once I had swatched this beauty I knew I didn’t want to do too much to it.  It was beautiful on it’s own and needed to be shown off.  I thought I would carry over the ‘unused’ portion of the prompt and use a stamping plate of mine that hasn’t been used yet.  You might recall I made a list of all my plates and which ones have not been used and I am going to try and work my way through to make sure I use every plate at least once.  Anyway, let me show you what I did,

I simply stamped the image on my index and middle finger using Pueen45 and Mundo de Unas – Light gold.  Topcoated and that was that.

What a great choice for Unused Polish right?  This is such a beautiful polish and also my first Different Dimension polish.  It definitely won’t be my last if this one is anything to go by.  It does remind me a little of one my Dollish Polish, I suspect from the Why Can’t Every Day Be Halloween series.  Let me know if you want to see a comparison.  What do you think of the polish?  Do you also think it was a good choice for this prompt?  Do you have any Different Dimension polishes?  Let me know which ones I should add to my wishlist first!
