Hey guys,
Happy Wednesday! How has your week been so far? Mine has been a little insane and crazy busy but it also means the days are flying by in a crazy blur!
While in this crazy blur I happened to see some new trend editions out by Catrice and Essence. I was extremely excited about both and I knew I had to try and get them swatched as soon as possible. I started with the Catrice one and (what felt like) speed swatched them to be able to show you today. Lets get to it.
Catrice – Chilly orange
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a super opaque bright orange creme with a coral undertone. It has a beautiful formula and is the most beautiful bright summery shade. It is absolutely gorgeous. In the bottle it just looks like a normal orange but gosh it is beautiful. This is also almost a one coater so I am excited for what might happen in the next Tuesday Stamping
Catrice – Salty shimmer sunset
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I really struggled to show this polish off at its best. I think it freaked out my camera like crazy. This is a white shimmery polish packed with so much glittery goodness. I was surprised that it only took 2 coats to get this opaque and it was so shimmery it almost looked silver. The polish also looks a bit lumpy which I suspect is the crazy shimmer playing with the light. This is beautiful polish with a great formula and a surprisingly nice opacity. I am not sure if I would wear it on it’s own but I am excited to pair it with the other shades in the collection.
Catrice – Skyline
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a light blue to silvery chrome. It applies a bit brush strokey but the more it dried the less obvious they were. I actually took a photo from a bit further away to show you how they aren’t as obvious unless you’re looking super close (like these photos). This one also had a really nice formula and also almost a one coater. It is actually a beautiful shade of chrome -y polish so don’t be put off by the brush strokes you might see initially. Let it dry and it will be far less noticeable. See?
Catrice – Deep dark winters
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a dark navy blue creme that dries to a rubbery matte finish. I love the dramatic look of this polish and I also think it is perfect for the cooler weather we should have soon (I hope). It’s quite dark and may look blackened in some light but I think the matte finish adds to it. It applies beautifully and is also almost a one coater.
What do you think of this collection? I will be honest, I was initially just drawn to the bottles and I had already decided that I NEED them once I saw them online. It took a while to finally reach our shores but I am so happy it did because not only are the bottles the cutest thing ever, the colours are pretty great too. I must apologise for the rushed swatches and if I have time I might try and do a better of it but I focused more on getting the polish as best I can. I really like this collection and I also love how different all the polishes are. In finish and in colour. Do you have a favourite?
These are available from Dischem.

Those bottles are the best. When I saw them originally I knew I had to have them, simply because of the bottles. Turns out the polish is nice too 😛
