Hey hi lovelies
Half the week is gone and now it is downhill to the weekend. How has your week been so far? Mine has been a blur but not bad. Super busy. I am looking ward to the weekend though. It supposed to be cool and rainy. I can’t wait!
I sat at my polish desk one day and just stared at my polishes. One in particular caught my eye for more than one reason. The polish is Color Club – Ulterior motive. One reason is that I also have Ultra Violet and I was wondering how similar they would be. Most of all though, it is just so beautiful I had to use it immediately. Let me show you
Color Club – Ulterior motive
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a bright violet purple jelly packed with magenta, violet and some blue shimmer. It has a great formula and applies really well. It’s a little sheer on the first coat but builds up beautifully on the second. It’s a fabulous polish and inspired some nail art (obviously). If you want to see this compared to Color Club – Ultra violet just let me know and I will do a comparison. Onto the nail art!
So I started with 2 coats of Ulterior motive on all my nails and left that to dry completely. While that was drying I started making the decals. I stamped using Lina – Feeling Shapely 3 and Mundo de Unas – Blue and then filled in the middle of the little squares using Color Club – Ms Socialite. Once that was all dry I applied the decals to my middle and ring finger, topcoated and ta-daaah!
I really liked this combination and once I started writing this post, I noticed that when I have used this base colour I often lean towards blue. In the moment I thought this was quite a nice combination but in hindsight, it’s probably starting to get a bit boring 😛 I still like it though. What do you think? I do however like the image from this plate.
Thanks for reading,
Cynthia
That blue looks so well with the polish! I love it.

Thanks so much! I agree. I just love that blue in general too.
