Hello lovelies,
I have finally made it to the half way point! Happy Wednesday! It’s officially down hill to the weekend. How has your week been so far? Mine hasn’t been bad. Today we have some amazing cooler weather and I have been quite productive lately so things are looking up. I also had a terrible nail break but luckily I had quite a few posts prepped so it will be a while before you get to see the super shorties. Hopefully I can grow them out a smidge 😉
Since the beginning of (my) time I have always loved geometric nail art but lately I seem to be more and more drawn to florals and swirly images. I thought it was time to touch a bit on the geometric again and when I saw this polish I had this idea. Let me show you what I did and later the polish
On my pinky I started with 2 coats of ILNP – I see you and on the rest of my nails I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – About lying’ out. While that was drying I went to work on my decals. I stamped a bunch of different squares using Lina Feeling Shapely 09 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then coloured in a few with ILNP – I see you and some with Cutex – Language of lilacs. Once everything was dry I applied the squares to my nails using my stamper and layered the different colours over each other. I alternated the order on my middle finger just to change it up a bit. I topcoated and that was that.
I really enjoyed these shades together and I really like the layered squares. Of course the soft gold holo just adds a little bit of specialness. I was actually surprised by how much I liked this beautiful coral shade of polish. Let me show you
China Glaze – About layin’ out
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a juicy coral / salmon pink creme with traits of a jelly (technically this means crelly but this term is mostly used when referring to jelly bases with glitter right?) It has a super shiny finish and has a nice, thin, easy to apply formula. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the colour but once it was on I really loved it. I used the word juicy because that is exactly what it looks like. Juicy.
What do you think about my square-y nail art? Do you have this polish? What do you think about it?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! *yep, screaming on purpose*
I want that plate… gimme! Hand it over! Oh, and add the polishes while you’re at it 😉

YAY!!!!!! Thank you so so much! I must admit I definitely felt the Joyce vibe when I was doing this. I wasn’t sure if the colours would be your thing but I was totally inspired by you 😉
*adds more plates and polishes to the JOYCE stash pile*
