Hey hi,
Happy (fake) Monday! This has been the longest weekend for me so I am actually looking forward to things getting a bit more normal around here. How about you? Are you having a good week so far? We have finally reached the point where my nails are super short again but here’s hoping they grow grow grooowww! I actually don’t mind short nails. I think that’s why it is so easy for me to go from the longer to the short. Do you have a preference? Also, does it bother you that my nails looks so different often?
Every time Dollish Polish comes out with a new collection I fall head over heals in love. When she released her Christmas 2017 collection I actually gasped. Yes the theme was beyond amazing and the colours were off the charts but I just adored that there was a “misfit’ collection and even one with the name in. The Island of misfit toys collection is soooooo fun and I just love the name of it. For obvious reasons. I was a little late with ordering but luckily when I emailed Dolly she was able to hook me up. Needless to say this collection is not available at the moment but that doesn’t mean it won’t pop up in the shop at a later stage or that it won’t land up in the clearance bin. If any of them appeal to you don’t forget to keep your eyes on both stores (or pop her an email….;) ) Let’s get cracking,
Dollish Polish – Hermey the dentist
This is 2 coats with topcoat. Hermey the dentist is a bright royal blue creme and it is gorgeous! This has a beautiful formula and really is more gorgeous on the nail than in the bottle. It’s maybe not the most unique shade but it is a great formula (without staining) and is perfect of Hermey’s little outfit. It is also one of the few Dollish Polish cremes I have and they are really stunning.
Dollish Polish – Holly jolly Christmas
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is described as a ‘holly green scattered holo, filled with holo micro glitters and flakes, gold/olive multi chrome flakes and green/gold/olive colour shifting glitters’. This is one of my favourites and applied like a dream too. I really love all the shifting and glittering that happens on my nails with this one. I must be honest, I didn’t see as much of the holo but it is gorgeous nonetheless. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Merry & bright
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is described as ‘a delicate mauve with blue / aqua shifting shimmer’. I wasn’t really sure how I would feel about this one at first because some of these polishes are so striking. Once I had it on my nails though I immediately fell in love. It went on beautifully and the colour is so pretty and delicate it would suit anyone. The shifting shimmer though is the most gorgeous thing. It’s subtle yet very visible and absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to use this one again with some stamping. Here is a closer look in 2 different angles.
Dollish Polish – The greatest prospector in the North
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is described as ‘ a bright turquoise jelly, jam-packed with ice-blue, aqua and turquoise glitters’. I probably could have used another coat of this but I think it looks magnificent at 2 coats for a jelly. This is such a beautiful colour and all the glitter is just delicious. It applied really easily and evenly with great glitter distribution. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a turquoise and this is definitely a winner. I am now wondering if it would work layered over other colours too. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – The spotted elephant
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is described as ‘a classic white cruelly loaded with varying shades of matte pink glitters’. I adore these types of polishes and of course this one was a favourite before I even got them. The white base isn’t stark white either which makes the pink glitter really pop. I initially thought there were some white glitter in there too but if they aren’t white they must be really light pink. Goes on beautifully and looks amazing. Here is a closer look
Dollish Polish – Why am I such a misfit?
I knew I would love this polish because it had the best name but just look at that! This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is described as ‘a Rudolph red with a magical metallic glow’. This is every red lovers dream! It is a bright red with the most gorgeous formula. It applied so easily it might almost be a one coater. It looks like it is on fire and is the best christmas red ever! I am a little obsessed. Let me give you a closer look
I don’t know about you but I love each and every one. I love this collection so so much and the polishes are mind blowing. Do you have this collection? Which one is your favourite? Do you want to see any comparison? Let me know and I will jump right on it. What do you think of this collection and the inspiration?
