Hello folks,
On Wednesday I mentioned how the week has just gone so quickly and then come Thursday and it feels like it is draaaagggggggiiiiiiiing! What the heck! It is finally Friday though so yay for that. My brother and nephew are popping in for a super quick visit on the weekend and other that that I am not planning on much. I hope to play with some pretty polishes and relax. What about you? Anything fun planned this weekend?
This all started as just a random idea that finally ended up here with many twists and turns in between. I felt drawn to doing a gradient with 2 shades and once that was done I couldn’t stop thinking of the splatter or gold foily look. After trying a few things I finally settled on this idea so let me show you,
I started with 1 coat of China Glaze – Street style princess on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then did a sponged gradient using China Glaze – Street style princess and China Glaze – All glammed up and left that to dry completely again. I then stamped the splatter images from Lina – Make your mark 01 and Mundo de Unas – Gold on all my nails. I stamped the chevron image on my ring and middle nail using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – Dark gray. I topcoated everything and then finished it off with a matte topcoat. I have some swatches too so let me get to those quickly too
China Glaze – Street style princess
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is from the Street Regal collection. It’s a soft grey creme with a really nice formula and a great opacity. I love a good grey polish and this is a nice addition to my collection. I have quite a few darker greys but the light ones are so gorgeous.
China Glaze – All glammed up
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is from the Summer Reign collection and as you can imagine, a perfect summery colour. This is a light and bright turquoise shades. It might not be the most unique colour family but it is still gorgeous and definitely highly recommended. I did a comparison with China Glaze – For Audrey here. Let me know if you want to see any comparisons with other shades (I’m thinking too yacht to handle might be close etc) and I am more than happy to throw a few together. It had a beautiful formula and opacity though so definitely a thumbs up from me.
I really like these colours together and something about the gold splatter stamping over the gradient just makes me so happy. What do you think? Does it work?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
It definitely works! It almost looks like turqoise, with the gold splatters on it 🙂

Yay! Thank you! I was hoping it would look a bit turquoise but I didn’t mention it in case I got it completely wrong! 😛
