Comparison: China Glaze – Activewear, don’t care vs Sinful Colors – Rise and shine

Just a blink and it’s Wednesday!  I hope the week has been treating you well.  I mentioned on Monday that I woke up with the sniffles again but seems it was just messing with me. Even though I wake up congested it doesn’t seem to last long and I actually feel fine.  This is a big win and I intend to keep it that way.  It’s still so cold here and I am still loving it even though it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning.

After showing you the China Glaze – Chic physique collection I got a request to compare Activewear, don’t care to Sinful Colors – Rise and Shine (Thanks Heather!). Sinful Colors – Rise and shine has a matte finish so it was suggested that I compare them both glossy and matte.  What a fun experiment.  Let me show you

On my pinky and index fingers I have 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Rise and shine and on my middle and ring fingers I have 2 coats of China Glaze – Activewear, don’t care.  I used a matte topcoat on my ring finger and a glossy topcoat on my index finger.  There is a slight different in colour.  Rise and Shine is a little bit lighter and is more opaque.  Activewear, don’t care is a jelly so is super glossy and a little less opaque.  Rise and shine also has a shimmer which activewear, don’t care does not have.  They are pretty close in colour so you can use them together well BUT they are not dupes.  The shimmer is the obvious difference.  The matte versions are actually very similar in colour but the glossy version shows the difference a bit better.

This was actually a fun comparison especially because of the different finishes.  What do you think?  Do you have one or both of these?  Do you have any other polishes you want to see compared? Maybe compared to these or a different combination altogether?  Let me know, I quite enjoy these.
