Hey lovelies,
I hope you’re having a fabulous week so far. It feels like a million things have happened so far already and it’s only Wednesday. I don’t know what these millions of things are though ;). It just feels like it has been busy in the world. Ok so now that I am not making any sense anymore…..I hope the rest of your week is fabulous!
One of my favourite features about Instagram is the option to save posts. I have soooooo many posts saved for inspiration and it just so happens to be where I got the inspiration for this post. It was one of those days where I just didn’t know what to do with my nails and I didn’t even have a polish in mind. So I scrolled through my saved post and came across this one by @mymanimania and I just knew I had to do it. I made a bit of a rookie mistake but let me show you first.
I started with 2 coats of Dollish Polish – a race against time on my pinky and ring finger and 1 coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on my middle and index finger. Once that is completely dry I do a sponged gradient on my index and middle finger using Essence – Greyt times and Essence – Step into the grey zone. While the gradient was drying I went to work on the flowers. I stamped using BP-L067 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then coloured in the flowers using Dollish Polish – a race against time and for the leaves I used China Glaze – Emerald bae. I then applied the flowers over the gradient. I tried to apply it more to the cuticle in one and more to tip in the other but I really just wanted the flowers to look good. I topcoated everything and voila!
I really liked the combination of the polish and the gradient and I really like how the flowers turned out. This is where I messed up though. Once I was DONE….I noticed that I had the same stamping plate that was used in the original. Ugh…I’m so dumb. Anyway, I think the flowers are ok. What do you think? Does it work? Let me know what you think.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
This is so pretty!!
Why would not using the same plate be a mistake? I’ve done that more than once (although it was a decision most of the time, usually not by accident 😉 ) and the flowers you picked make me want to grab the plate you used… so could you add it to “my” stash? 😀

Thank you! I think it felt like a mistake because I struggled with finding the right flowers that would look similar enough. Or work similar enough. But once again, you are the voice of reason. I guess it’s just because it wasn’t a decision, I was just a dummy that didn’t read properly. ;). Your stash is getting quite big now, we will have to make a plan to get it to you 😉
