Showy dry brush nail art

Hello hey hi,

Happy Friday!  Have you had a good week?  Mine was pretty decent but weekend is always better than week right?  Do you have any fun weekend plans?  I am going to be a total sloth and do nothing (except nails) as much as possible.

I’ve had this one polish standing on my desk for weeks now and I knew I really wanted to use it.  Eventually I had an idea of doing some dry brush art and I realised I might be able to combine both ideas.  I’m not sure it worked and I think it looked better in real life but let me show you what happened.

I started with 2 coats of Pure Ice – Private show on my pinky and ring finger and 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on my middle and index.  I then did some dry brush on my middle and index using Sinful Colors – Black on black, Nubar – Sphinx purple and Sinful Colors – Love nails.  I topcoated and that was that.

Again, I really liked it while I had it on my nails but when I looked at the photos I felt a little meh about it. What do you think?  Too much? Wrong combo?  The reason why I chose this colour combination for the dry brush is because of the glitter in Private show.  Let me show you

Pure Ice – Private show

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  This is a black jelly packed with blue, pink. gold and some red glitter in various sizes.  This applied really nicely and had a great opacity too.  I think I am in love with this polish.  It’s so beautiful and I now wish I tried it matte as well.  I will definitely have to use it again so I can try that.  Let me give you a closer look

What do you think?  What do you think I should’ve done with this polish if not the dry brush?  I’m definitely going to have to use this polish again. See you on the other side!
