Hey hi hello,
I’m 5 days in and still going strong. Although it doesn’t feel like much of a victory this early in the game considering I still have 26 more days but I am taking any victory I can get. Small or otherwise. This might be the day where the wheels fall off a little bit though so here goes.
The 31 Day Challenge is usually done in September although you can do it any time of the year. If you want to find out more information you can find everything you need to know as well as the Inlinkz for the prompts here thanks to Cathy from More Nail Polish. Here are the prompts you can look forward to
I had a similar problem with the blue as I did with the green. There are so many blue polishes that are gorgeous and I did have a bit of an idea but I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off. Let me show you what I did
I started with 2 coats of Color club – Baldwin blues on my pinky and ring finger. On my middle and index I used tape to section off a piece towards my cuticle and then I used 2 coats of Essence – Holo rocks on the tip section left exposed. Once that was dry I stamped the triangle over it using Lina – Feeling Shapely 09 and first Mundo de Unas – Pastel blue and then Mundo de Unas – Joy. I topcoated everything and voila!
This looked much better in person. I’m not sure why my skin looks so weird with this combination. I quite liked this while I was wearing it especially the super holo glitter but it got a bit lost in the photos. What do you think?
Don’t forget to follow the #31DC2018 on social media if you want to follow along with the daily prompts OR take a peep at the InLinkz below.
Thanks for reading,
Tracy
That glitter is stunning! Essence do some good polishes. I don’t think they release as much polish over here. Every display I see is usually full of cremes.
And yes! Take all the wins! 5 days in is definitely a huge win if you ask me. You haven’t skipped a day! Well done! Bring on the next 26 days!

Thank you so much! Yeah the regular Essence range is mostly cremes. I always love the smaller little collections they have in their range because they have the magic shades. This holo one is amazing. Some of the holo-ist glitters and I have now gotten some backups too. Yay for totally winning so far with no skipped days. Here’s hoping I can make it through the difficult ones.

I love that holo glitter! Looks great and makes me wish I grabbed it now. I saw it but bought something else instead 🙂
I don’t usually feel like I’ve made a dent in this challenge until I hit the styles section, and only start to feel relief when we hit the third part haha! Good luck
Michelle Roberts
The green holo glitter in this range is also really gorgeous!
I have to agree with you. I’m not really a fan of the last section because it requires a lot more brain power but it is only at that point that I start to feel I might actually make it 😀
Cindi
I really love this. Geometric and glitter.
Michelle Roberts
Thank you so much! I am a sucker for geometric 😀
Joyce
Ha, you’ve done five more days than I have ever done, so that’s definitely a win!
And another winner for me is that gorgeous blue creme… it’s so pretty, especially with the holo glitters! I think they’re still for sale over here.. hmmmm… I think I foresee a trip to the drugstore 😉
Michelle Roberts
Hahaha Thanks Joyce! I hope by now you have grabbed those holo glitters (the green one is quite gorgeous too). Maybe next year we can do this challenge together? 😉
Zara TracesOfPolish
I love the different blues you combined! The negative space nails are gorgeous!
Michelle Roberts
Thank you so much! I had hoped to have a bit more negative space visible but I think it worked out better in the end.
Briget
Love how you added the little VEEE… looks super CHIC!

Thank so much Beeeeeee. Next time I need to make a deep vee 😉
