Hey hi guys,
How has your week been so far? It suddenly feels like we are running out of September so fast. Which is surprising considering this challenge. It feels like I was looking forward to the half way point for so long and now it’s running towards the end. Does that mean that the challenge is going fairly well this year? So far so good! Let’s see what is on today.
The 31 Day Challenge is usually done in September although you can do it any time of the year. If you want to find out more information you can find everything you need to know as well as the Inlinkz for the prompts here thanks to Cathy from More Nail Polish. Here are the prompts you can look forward to
The prompt today is galaxies. I always start off a little uninspired. Theres only so many way galaxies you can do right? I’ve done so many and it’s not really my favourite thing. Either way I wanted to do something a little different for me. Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of ILNP – Interstellar and left that to dry completely. While that was drying I wet to work making the little planets. I stamped using Konad 23 and Mundo de Unas – White. I then coloured them in using China Glaze – Summer reign (purple) and China Glaze – Lime after lime. I then applied these 2 planets on my index and pinky. I then used a sponge and started with Sinful Colors – Snow me white and made the rounded shape on my ring finger and middle finger. I wanted them to combined have the ‘planets’ shape. I then used some China Glaze – Summer reign to give it a purple hue and used a small brush to add some China Glaze – Lime after lime in a few spots. I kept dabbing it with the sponge so the blended well. I then used Konad 23 and Mundo de Unas – Sorbet to stamp the swirl on the middle nail. I then used my thin brush to make the random ‘stars’ in the open spaces. I topcoated and that was that.
Firstly, that ILNP – Interstellar is just gorgeous. I’ve always said that my camera hates pink but lately I’ve noticed that the moment I use a lot of blue or the blue polish bottle it just throws the colour of my skin way off. Isn’t it weird. Anyway, I think this is one of my favourite galaxies I have done. It’s different than what I have usually done so that is a plus. What do you think? Does it work?

I completely agree. There are only so many galaxies you can do right? I am glad trying something a little different worked ok.
