Hey lovelies,
I am scheduling this in the hopes that I am doing nothing while this is posting. Who knows, I might even have slept in. I hope you had a fantastic weekend so far!
The 31 Day Challenge is usually done in September although you can do it any time of the year. If you want to find out more information you can find everything you need to know as well as the Inlinkz for the prompts here thanks to Cathy from More Nail Polish. Here are the prompts you can look forward to
I had an idea which tutorial I wanted to do but I knew I had some issues. I decided to go with this look which also came with a video tutorial. The issues? I didn’t have the same glitter, the same ‘shapes’ or even the same skill. My mom didn’t raise a quitter though so here we are. Let’s do this!
I started with 2 coats of Morgan Taylor – Gaston and on and on my middle and ring finger and 2 coats of Morgan Taylor – Shock therapy on my index and pinky. Once it was completely dry I started on the glitter. I used this from Born pretty Store. I rubbed it on my stamper and then applied it that way on my ring finger. I then used the LineDancer vinyls from Because I shop on my stamper and used the same glitter to get the shape. I then stamped this on my middle finger. I topcoat everything and ta-dah!
Even though this was quite fun to do, it doesn’t look nearly as good as the inspiration. I would love to try it with more metallic or holographic glitter. Just a heads up if you wanted to try it. When you use the vinyl on the stamper the fine glitter will go everywhere when you remove it. I used the vinyl and added tape on either side of the vinyls and I still had a lot of excess glitter floating around. What do you think? Does it look ok anyway?

Thank you so much? It had a bit of a holo to it and I am sad it didn’t show up at all but luckily the colours are nice.

I struggle with vinyls. You did a great job with this. One more day of the 31DC2018 to go!

Ah thank you so much! I quite enjoy vinyls but it was a little tricky with the fine glitter 😀
Juanita
Stunning! I think I need to give this a go, since I do actually have loose glitter laying around…

This is so much a YOU manicure I don’t even need a watermark to see that it’s yours 🙂
Also, I really need to get myself some of that loose glitter. I love what you did here!

I can’t think if a nicer thing that had been said to me. Thank you so much! I must say, it was fun (but messy) working with the glitter. I can definitely recommend. My mind is racing with ideas and options.
