Hey guys!
Seriously? Wasn’t it just Monday? I hope you’re having a great week even though mine is flying by! We finally did our secret Santa exchange reveal and boy oh boy were we spoilt! I can’t wait to show off my stash and all the nail art I am already planning.
We all know by now that I go to Born Pretty Store for all my nail art goodies and today I am showing you something else I got from them. I have the dual-ended gradient sponge and stamper to review. I have spotted the ‘pen stamper’ and I was very excited to give it a try. Even better when it had the puffer gradient sponge on the other end. Let me show you,
The stamper / sponge pen comes in this hard plastic tube that opens on the end. This keeps it very protected and nice and clean.
The one end has the puffer gradient sponge. These are replaceable however it only comes with one.
The other end is the stamper. The stamper is just over 1cm in diameter and is soft and squishy and stamps really well. I am a big fan of how well it stamps and picks up images. It is also a really nice size for those small and dainty images. It is surprising how big that little guy can be. I was looking for the smallest image to stamp and when I thought I’d test it on the image I wanted to use I was surprised that it was plenty big enough.
This whole duo fits really well in your hand and is very easy to use and to change between the two. I wanted to do some nail art that used both ends so let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Perfect match on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then used Essence – Pure beauty and the puffer gradient sponge to do the radial gradient on all my nails. I topcoated that to make a smooth surface for the stamping. I tamped on the bottom of the of the radial gradient using BP-62 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated again and that was that.
I really enjoyed using the puffer sponge and the stamper. It was simple and easy enough to get the hang of. If I have one complain about the stamper it is that I have become so used to have clear stampers and seeing where I stamp that suddenly I had no idea where I was actually stamping. The nice thing about it being so small compared to a regular stamper is that you can still see around it pretty well. I am also a really big fan of how well it stamps and the stamper itself is really soft and squishy so it was easy to press it onto the nail instead of rolling it.
I think this is a super handy tool, especially for the ladies with smaller nails. If you want to grab this – or anything else – don’t forget to use my discount code below to get 10% off.
