Hey guys,
Happy Friday! Not only is it Friday but it is also the last day of the month. Tomorrow we wake up and it is December and basically the whole world will be in holiday mode right? Do you have any weekend plans? Or better yet, holiday plans?
Can you believe it is the last Friday of November already? That means it is time for another Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month it was my turn again and I always struggle to chose from ALL the amazing inspiration out there. I decided to choose this design by Paulinas Passions. You can also find the video tutorial here. Now let’s be clear, even though she did it all FREEHAND, there would be none of that happening here. I was very drawn to the bright colours and tropical / floral / summer vibe so that is what I wanted to focus on. Let me show you what I did
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Maliboo-boo on all my nails and left that to dry completely. While it was drying I started working on all the flowers. I stamped using Lina Summer 02 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I think used China Glaze – Werk it honey for the stem and China Glaze – Bottoms up for the flowers. I then stamped Lina – Spring 01 and Mundo de Unas – Yellow for the little flowers. I coloured those in with China Glaze – Werk it honey. I stamped the same image with Mundo de Unas – White and coloured it in with China Glaze – I truly azure you. While the flowers were drying I stamped the leaves using Lina – Summer 02 and Mundo de Unas – green. I took a thin nail art brush and China Glaze – Werk it honey to make thin strokes over the green leaves to add some shading. I then started placing all the flowers randomly on each nail. I topcoated and that was that.
I don’t think mine is as vibrant and summery as the original but it was a lot of fun to do. I thought the black holo would make a nice base but it get’s a bit lost with all the bright colours of the flowers on top. In hindsight I wish I had used a different colour to stamp the yellow flowers with. On the stamper the different shades of yellow was quite obvious but I think it’s a bit lost on the nail. I do like how the leaves turned out though. What do you think? Does it work? Don’t forget to check out Joyce and Juanita, I can’t wait to see how they interpreted this one.
Thanks for reading,
Juanita
I love it! Also very impressed how you got everything from the original on you nails.
I kinda wish mine looked like yours now.

(and to be honest, I kind of like that it’s not as bright as the original… 😉 )
