Hey hi hello,
I blinked and now it’s Wednesday. Not sure how that happened but I suspect it being holiday has something to do with it. Oh well, downhill to the weekend they say :). How has your week been so far? Are you on holiday yet?
Due to our ridiculous postal system my Dollish Polish orders take forever to arrive. I am still waiting for polishes from months ago that aren’t even available anymore. It is really annoying and every time I wait I think that it’s probably just not work it. Then they arrive and I fall in love all over again and realise it is worth it no matter how long I have to wait. When my last batch arrived I saw this polish and I fell in love instantly. I don’t think any of my photos will do it real justice but I am going to show you anyway. (I wanted to do macro shots but every time I get a new phone it takes so long before a new macro lens is available again)
Dollish Polish – Antici-pation
This is a ‘cult movie classic’ inspired by The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Frank N Furter. This is described as a teal green jelly, loaded with pink/orange/gold/green color-shifting shimmer! This is 2 coats without topcoat. This is so stupid gorgeous I knew I had to wear it immediately. It applies beautifully and even as a jelly I was happy with 2 coats. I can see some VNL in my photos (not in real life) and you could easily do 3 coats. The pink was pretty visible and striking so I was drawn to pairing this with some pink. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of Dollish Polish – Antici-pation on my middle and index, 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Black on black on my ring finger and 2 coats of Rimmel – Luna love on my pinky. Once that was dry I double stamped the chevrons using first Lina – Feeling Shapely -1 and Mundo de Unas – Fuchsia on my index and middle finger and then the same image using Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated all my nails except the texture on my pinky that was that.
I didn’t want to go too crazy with nail art because I really wanted this polish to shine. I like how this turned out but I think this polish needs to be experienced in person. It’s so gorgeous. What do you think? Does it work? Should I have paired it with something else?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Perfect color combination and design… I would love to wear this myself 🙂
