Hey guys,
I hope you had a fabulous weekend! It’s crazy hot and I’m soooo ready for winter to come already. Loadshedding has also started which makes it even worse. Anyway, I’m ready to take on this week.
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
The prompt today is Valentine’s Day (obviously). I don’t really have any feelings about Valentine’s Day one way or the other but I do feel the theme for nail art is pretty restrictive. After all these years I am not sure how much more Valentine’s nails I can do ;). That is just my long winded way of saying I went simple and a little boring :P. Let me show you what I did
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Peppermint to be on my pinky and index and 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on my middle and ring finger. Once everything was completely dry I started stamping. I did layered stamping on my middle and ring finger using Lina – All about love 01 and first Colour alike – a cherry lollipop and then Mundo de Unas – Black. I then layered the little pixilated heart on my pinky and index using Lina – All about love 01 and first Mundo de Unas – White and then Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated everything and that was that.
I know, super original. The layered stamping on my middle and ring finger is a little off centre but I must be honest, I kinda like it that way. It makes it look a little graffiti like. I thought the China Glaze – Peppermint to be would also fit in well with the theme. I realised while doing this that I have a few red shimmery China Glaze polishes and made me wonder how they would compare. Do you want to see some comparisons? Am I the only one curious? Ruby pumps is such a beloved red and I always wonder how they compare. Anyway, what do you think? Is this enough? How do you feel about Valentine’s Day?
